Marin is a 13 year-old girl who lives in a very poor section of Tokyo. When she finds herself the first victim of an attack by an evil alien robot known as a Monomakia she is saved by a robot protector named Melan Blue. Subsequently Melan Blue installs himself as Marin's full-time protector causing a few problems for her at school. In these episodes Marin and Melan begin a journey to Brigadoon to find out its secrets and why it has sent the Monomakia to destroy Marin.
